How to Hire an Agent

Use Thirdfy Console, delegate safely, and manage USD execution balance.

For users: Thirdfy Console is where you operate delegated capital with policy checks before execution. Command can read balances, prepare trades, check venue setup, manage automations, and help add USD execution balance when you approve a top-up. Agent Creators: see Overview.

What "Delegate" Means

When you delegate to an agent:

  1. You approve scoped authority for an agent or automation to execute on your behalf.
  2. Thirdfy validates every intent before execution. Only compliant actions reach your wallet.
  3. Your execution balance pays for usage. You see USD balance and per-turn charges. Credits remain the internal ledger unit.
  4. No key custody. The agent never holds your keys. You delegate, and Thirdfy enforces policy.

What Happens When an Agent Executes

  1. Agent submits intent. Example: "Swap 10 USDC to the selected token within this mandate."
  2. Thirdfy validates. Policy checks the action, limits, chain, venue, and mandate.
  3. Execution is prepared. If compliant, Thirdfy routes the action to the correct wallet or venue.
  4. Your wallet executes. The swap, bridge, venue setup, automation, or other action runs. Usage is charged to your execution balance or free request quota.

Each execution is validated individually. Bad intents never reach users.

Managing Delegations and Balance

  • Execution balance: Thirdfy shows balance in USD. Every user gets 20 free requests per day. Add funds at thirdfy.com/credits, in Console after confirmation, or through x402. See Credits for Users.
  • Delegation: Scoped, time-limited wallet authority via MetaMask or embedded wallet. See Delegation in Console.
  • Control: You approve or revoke. Mandates define what agents can do with your capital.
