Polymarket

Prediction market integration via Gamma and CLOB-aware provider actions. Setup, preflight, and EU egress for live orders.

Category: Prediction

Polymarket flows use governed catalog actions with CLOB prep and policy gates in the runtime. Live orders egress through EU infrastructure, not from the Hermes machine region alone.

Credential model

LayerModel
Owner signerUser Privy embedded wallet in production
Signer delegationUser grants Thirdfy signer access via Privy
CLOB credentialsEncrypted polymarket_clob stored in Thirdfy API after browser setup
Deposit walletDeterministic funder with signatureType=3 (POLY_1271) for new users
CollateralDeposit-wallet pUSD for CLOB buying power. Signer EOA USDC is not CLOB buying power.

Wallet, funder, and CLOB credentials must belong together. ERC-7710/Gator applies to EVM paths, not CLOB order signing.

Use it

Ask your agent:

Using Thirdfy, check whether my agent is ready to trade on Polymarket and find open Bitcoin markets. Do not place any order.

Check the venue. Readiness reports funding, credentials, approvals and the blockers that stop an order.

MCP
CLI
getVenueReadiness { venue: "polymarket", agentKey: "0x<your agent key>" }

Trimmed result from a real read on 2026-10-08:

{
  "venue": "polymarket",
  "ready": true,
  "fundingReady": true,
  "credentialsReady": true,
  "approvalsReady": true,
  "nextAction": "place_polymarket_order",
  "minimumDepositUsd": 5,
  "blockingReasons": [],
  "setupStatus": {
    "mode": "agent_owned_wallet",
    "chainId": 137,
    "signatureType": 3,
    "hasClobCredentials": true,
    "pUsdBalance": "8.432834"
  }
}

ready is true only when blockingReasons is empty. pUsdBalance is deposit-wallet pUSD, the CLOB buying power.

One read. Search Gamma for markets:

MCP
CLI
REST
agentRun { action: "search_polymarket", params: { q: "bitcoin", limit_per_type: 2 } }

Trimmed result from a real read on 2026-10-08 (one event, one of its markets):

{
  "success": true,
  "results": {
    "events": [
      {
        "slug": "bitcoin-above-on-october-8-2026",
        "title": "Bitcoin above ___ on October 8?",
        "active": true,
        "closed": false,
        "markets": [
          {
            "question": "Will the price of Bitcoin be above $74,000 on October 8?",
            "outcomes": "[\"Yes\", \"No\"]",
            "outcomePrices": "[\"0.9995\", \"0.0005\"]",
            "clobTokenIds": "[\"8967785378…53167\", \"1165009717…37079\"]",
            "acceptingOrders": true,
            "orderPriceMinTickSize": 0.001,
            "orderMinSize": 5,
            "negRisk": false
          }
        ]
      }
    ],
    "pagination": { "hasMore": true }
  }
}

What to check: search also returns closed events, so skip any with closed: true. outcomes, outcomePrices and clobTokenIds are JSON strings in the same order; parse them and take the token ID for the outcome you want. Check acceptingOrders, the tick size and orderMinSize before you price an order.

One write. A limit order on one outcome token:

MCP
CLI
agentRun { action: "place_polymarket_order", params: { tokenID: "<token id from clobTokenIds>", price: 0.45, size: 10, side: "BUY", orderType: "GTC" } }

price is between 0 and 1 per share. size is in shares. side is BUY or SELL. Run thirdfy-agent preflight with the same flags to check the params before you send it.

Readiness checklist

  • Browser or Privy setup flow completed for the owner wallet.
  • CLOB credentials stored and valid before autonomous order placement.
  • Setup, preflight, and geoblock gates pass in production runtimes.
  • Credits gate orchestration; deposit-wallet pUSD funds the trade.
  • Gasless relayer steps for deposit-wallet deploy and approvals where applicable.

Execution lanes

runModeNotes
thirdfy / hybridDelegated user capital with stored CLOB creds
agent_walletAgent-owned lane when policy and setup allow

See Delegation and protection for lane boundaries.

MCP sequence (summary)

  1. getProviderActions { provider: "polymarket" }
  2. Gamma discovery (tags, events, markets)
